Council of veterans

Based on the merger of Kyzylorda Humanitarian University named after Korkyt ata and Kyzylorda Polytechnic Institute named after Y.Zhakayev on March 24, 1998, Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda State University (now Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University) was established. Prior to this merger, the Primary Organization of Veterans existed together with the trade union organization. Since the aforementioned year, Primary Organization of Veterans of the university has been headed by Professor Abylai Khangereevich Aydosov (11/12/1936-04/29/2009). At that time, biographical documents of veterans were entered into the computer in the form of electronic collections.
The Primary Organization of Veterans of the University has been headed by Professor Kazbai Kudaibergenov since 2009 (03/15/1942–05/14/2024). The organization's events were organized through the Council of Veterans, consisting of Kazbai Kudaibergenov (chairman), Nurtaza Abdrakhmanov, Zhenis Saduakasov, Pazharbek Saparkhodzhaev, Zinaida Seksenbayeva.
The ensemble ”Syr Suluy“ and the public association of veteran scientists "Parasat", which included veterans, worked.
At the suggestion of the Council of Veterans, in honor of our deceased scientists: former rector of the Pedagogical Institute Oralkhan Kamardinov, the author of many buildings of the regional center, architect Malik Sapargaliyev, famous mathematician, academician of the Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh SSR Asan Taimanov, professors Nurlybek Zhunusov, Abylai Aydosov, Slamkhan Bekbayev, Bazarbek Kashkynbayev, Abdykarim Tazhmaganbetov, Abshayt Orazaliev, Zhenis Utemisov the streets of the city of Kyzylorda were named. 
Scientists: Serikbai Koshkarov was recognized as an honorary citizen of the city of Kyzylorda, Kylyshbai Bisenov – Zhalagash district, Seisenov Bakytbek – Karmakshi district, Mustafa Matayev, Bagdat Karibozovich, Baymyrza Kozhamberliev – Kazaly district, Ibadulla Tautenov – Syrdarya district, Bakytkhan Abdikarimov – Zhanakorgan district.
Classrooms and laboratories were opened in the academic buildings of the university named after such teachers as O. Kamardinov, U. Bishimbaev, B. Dosmanbetov, K. Bisenov, A. Taimanov, S. Elubaev, M. Kireev, N. Zhunusov, M. Mataev, E. Nurakhmetov, B. Kashkynbayev, K. Zhanabergenov, A. Muslimov, Zh. Asanov, A. Aydosov, A. Orazaliev, S. Bekbaev, N. Zhunusov, A. Ernazarov, H. Nugmanova, A. Yeralauov, K. Zhailybai, K. Baltaev, T. Kuanyshbaev, K. Kudaibergenov, K. Saduakaskyzy, Zh. Yegizbaev, B. Kozhamberliev, O. Bermakhanov, A. Tapalova, B. Kultanov, U. Zhanbershieva, M. Zholymbetov.
The Veterans' organization operates with a work plan based on one academic year. On the eve of state and professional holidays, veterans are given gifts, as well as vouchers to sanatoriums throughout the year.
University veterans often travel to the regional Press and TV channels, take an active part in cultural and social events, gatherings and scientific conferences.
Competitions in chess, checkers, billiards and other sports are held annually among veterans.
A large stand “Ardagerler ardagym” is on display on the 2nd floor of the main academic building, on the 2nd floor of the academic building #2.  In honor of the 80th and 85th anniversary of the university, the collections “Kaldyrgan izin mangilik” were published, dedicated to the deceased veterans.
The organization of University veterans has been headed by Candidate of Technical Sciences, Professor Bakhyt Kaliev since July 1, 2024.

The Organization of Veterans currently has 310 members. 95 of them are working.
